Proximity of entities

By default, the graph shows links between persons, places, or works (books or journals) that occur immediately before and after each other in the selected section(s) (1 neighbour on either side). Selecting "4" will link any particular entity with the four or fewer neighbours immediately before and after its appearance in the text.

For example, if People and Places are chosen for the visualization, in the following quotation a proximity of "1" would show Bolingbroke in proximity to William Trumball and England, while a proximity of "4" would show Bolingbroke in proximity to Wycherly, the Town, Walsh, Trumball, England, the Queen, Oxford, and Craggs:
As Mr. Wycherley, at the time the Town declaim’d against his book of Poems: Mr Walsh, after his death: Sir William Trumbull, when he had resign’d the office of Secretary of State: Lord Bolingbroke at his leaving England after the Queen’s death: Lord Oxford in his last decline of life: Mr. Secretary Craggs at the end of the South-Sea Year, and after his death: Others only in Epitaphs.
